"Starbucks" Church Marketing...

My friend Al sent me this link the other day. Perhaps an homage to Len Sweet's Gospel According to Starbucks (which I helped edit, by the way)?

If this resonates with you, and you haven't seen the movie Saved! starring Mandy Moore, please do yourself a favor and check it out: it's a lot of fun to watch. But we really are a cheeseball subculture!

Thanks Al! Enjoy...

I only heard about this 'Starbucks' takeoff after showing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOM1Taecs1Q
in church on Sunday. I love the fact that some of us can laugh at ourselves (or at least others!) for being cheesy.

Javalujah to all of you!

It appears they made the video. That's all I know...

Someone (anonymous) left this link in a comment on my blog. They also said I was the cause of many of my friends being jaded because I 'puffed myself up and didn't listen'

haha, they may nave been right! I watched the video, perhaps just to takes steps towards 'listening.'

Ouch, Nate. Sounds passive aggressive. But I know the feeling: I've been "puffed up" and haven't listened for 24 of my 29 years. And I'm still wildly inconsistent - just TRYING to pay attention, listen, and drop the ego.

You're probably far less guilty than I.

But there's always hope if we're willing to improve...
